Data Storage and Security

Local Storage First

All your health data is stored locally on your device. We do not store your glucose readings, stress levels, or personal health information on our servers or in the cloud.

Security Measures

  • Encryption: All local data is encrypted using iOS's built-in CoreData encryption
  • Secure Keychain: Sensitive settings stored in iOS Keychain with hardware security
  • No cloud sync: Your health data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it
  • Apple Health integration: Secure, permission-based sync with Apple's Health app
  • No third-party analytics: We don't use third-party tracking or analytics services

Export all your data anytime through the app's built-in CSV and PDF export features.

Delete Data

Delete individual readings or all data directly in the app. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

Control Permissions

Manage Apple Health permissions, notifications, and data sharing preferences in iOS Settings.

Data Portability

Your data exports are in standard formats (CSV, PDF) compatible with other health apps.

Children's Privacy

Diabetes Tracker is designed for users 13 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

International Users

Diabetes Tracker complies with applicable privacy laws including GDPR (European Union), CCPA (California), and other regional privacy regulations. Since all data is stored locally on your device, international data transfer concerns are minimized.
