A Diabetes Diary for Glucose and Meals

Available on App Store

Enter readings on your iPhone or Apple Watch, or point the camera at your glucose meter or scale and confirm the number it picks up. A meal photo gets you a carb and calorie estimate, and the food diary tracks what you eat against your nutrition goals. Widgets put glucose on your Home Screen, Lock Screen, and watch face. You can also turn on Apple Health sync, note stress next to your readings, and export PDF or CSV reports for your doctor.

Apple Watch Logging — Quick entries for glucose, weight, blood pressure, insulin, and medications
Widgets & Complications — Glucose, time in range, and medications on your Home Screen and Lock Screen, plus glucose on your watch face
Apple Health Sync — Glucose syncs both ways; weight, blood pressure, insulin, and carbs are saved there
Stress Monitoring — Track stress levels alongside glucose readings
PDF/CSV Export — Professional reports for healthcare providers
Local Data Storage — Health readings stored on your device, not on our servers

Your health readings are stored on your device, not on our servers. The app sends a meal photo and any note you add only when you scan that meal, without your name or email. We don't keep the photo or note on our servers. A third-party AI provider does the analysis. It deletes the photo and note within 30 days (the privacy policy lists exceptions) and doesn't use them to train AI models.

Day to Day

How It Works

  1. 1. Log the Meal

Type in the carbs yourself, or snap your plate for an estimated range of carbs, calories, protein, and fat. You can adjust any of it before you save.

What to note for each meal

  2. 2. Add the Reading

Enter the number from your meter, point the camera at the meter's display, or import readings from Apple Health. The reading sits right next to the meal.

Set up reminders to log your readings

  3. 3. Look Back and Share

Pick any date range to see your trends, then export a PDF or CSV report for your doctor.

Check a report before you share it

Common Questions

Glucose and Blood Sugar Track FAQ

Does Glucose and Blood Sugar Track measure blood sugar?

No. Your meter or CGM takes the reading, and the app keeps the record. You can type a reading in, point the iPhone camera at your meter's display and confirm the number it picks up, or import readings from Apple Health. Glucose and Blood Sugar Track is a personal tracking tool, not a medical device.

Does it work with Dexcom, FreeStyle Libre, or other CGMs?

Indirectly, through Apple Health. If your CGM's own app saves glucose readings there, turn on Apple Health sync and they show up in your diary. Some CGM apps share with Apple Health on a delay, so the newest readings can arrive later. The app doesn't connect to sensors directly, and we're not affiliated with Dexcom or Abbott, the maker of FreeStyle Libre. To see where a reading came from, check its source in Apple Health.

Does it use mg/dL or mmol/L?

Both. You can log glucose in mg/dL, the unit US meters usually show, or in mmol/L, the standard in Canada, the UK, and many other countries. Set the app to match your meter so the number you type is the one on its screen. If you switch meters or bring one home from abroad, check its unit before you log.

Is there an Apple Watch app?

Yes. On the watch you can log glucose, insulin, weight, blood pressure, and medication doses, and see your last reading. It doesn't measure glucose: you turn the Digital Crown to the number your meter shows and tap Save. The watch app needs watchOS 11.6 or later, and the iPhone app needs iOS 18 or later.

Can I share my readings with my doctor?

Yes. Export a PDF or CSV report for the dates you pick, with nutrition alongside your glucose readings. A PDF is easy to print or email, and a CSV opens in a spreadsheet. Before you send it, open the file and check the dates and units. The app sends nothing to your doctor. You decide who gets a copy.

What languages is the app available in?

It's available in 32 languages, including English, Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Arabic, Russian, Hindi, French, German, Japanese, and Portuguese. The app uses your iPhone's language when it's one of them, so a family member who prefers Spanish or Vietnamese sees it in that language on their own phone.
